Do you love YOUR pastor?
That's not an insecure preacher fishin' for a compliment. It's just my honest musing after tonight's service at the Reconciliation Ministries Conference in South Africa. See, in January I asked Bishop Joseph Garlington to be MY pastor (even pastors need to be pastored), and as he ministered tonight I was moved to tears of gratitude that he is MY pastor! As I reflected afterwards, I knew I needed to express that to him, and I did.
That's what made me wonder - do other folks feel that way? I hope so.....'Cause it sure is a good feeling!

I sure do love my pastors...ummm, for how long now?? Well, let's just say YEARS, huh? Just so you know, we are growing quite fond of Pastor Dan. He preached up a storm~ You'd be proud...I know you are proud.
Pastor Jerry, wow, I have so much love and respect for you! I've had you as my pastor for more than half of my life. You've been there for me when I was a stupid teenager and now as an adult. I've grown as a person and as a christian. So much more I could say, but in the spirit of a 'comment' I'll leave you with this, thanks for being my pastor!
Do I love my Pastor? You better believe it. There are no words to explain how much I have grown as a direct result of you and your teachings. My heart pounds as I think of where I was when I came to CLC just short of three years ago... seeking, searching, broken and angry with religion. To keep from rambling on forever, let me just say, "I'm not what I ought to be but I ain't what I used to be" thanks you you, your teachings and my relationship with Christ--not religion. I love you and love calling you, "My Pastor".

We sure love you in our home. A pastor as genuine and who cares so much for his flock as you do is not so easy to find. Building a church may not be an easy task, but building a place that feels like a loving home is even a bigger challenge. That is what I think you have achieved through your heart, vision and prayers.
Awww, shucks - now I'm blushing...but keep it up, folks, keep it up! Seriously, I wasn't writing this post to pull a compliment from our CLC family, but just out of curiosity about other churches and how folks feel. But I must admit that it feels GOOD to be loved!
One day when you meet God face to face ..ask Him how much I love my Pastor Jerry and Chris..and I am VERY sure..God will say "Hmm..where do you want me to start?..coz its a very long list of love" hahahhaah
