better than I thought

Our South Bend campus pastors gave me a report yesterday that the opening service was even better than I thought. It seems our attendance count didn't include some latecomer's, who brought the final tally to 300 (which is the number I had prayed for!) AND, better-still, when we compiled the connection cards, instead of 7 people praying to receive Christ, it was 9! Go God!

Before anyone writes about "all you're interested in is numbers", let me quickly point out that the reason for my excitement is that each one of those numbers represents an eternal, living soul for whom Jesus died - so the numbers do matter, because people matter to God!
