Passing the Mantle
Our terrific IT guy, Dustin Frampton, just gave me the video link so that any of you who're interested can see the 'passing the mantle' portion of the service from our newest campus in South Bend, IN this past Sunday.
It was a special moment for me when John Nordstrom, Sr. and his wife Phyllis led that portion of the service and you can now view it below.

Um, Pastor Jerry. I think you should also issue a tissue alert! What an awesome, awesome time we are experiencing in the Lord. I felt like Ken did when we were at MEGA -- I couldn't help the tears. I am at a loss for words.

Thanks, Pat. I was, too, on Sunday. The emotions kinda snuck up on me - but I do sense that this whole deal is such a God-thing. I'm really excited about our new family meeting our TP family this Sunday at 11:15 service!
Pastor Jerry,
Dave & I are so very proud of what God is doing through you for us all. We are thrilled to have become a part of CLC at this season of exponential growth! We love you and Pastor Chris so much and promise to keep a prayer covering over you both as God uses you so mightily! All praise to God for you both.

I'm weepy...vert weepy~ This is powerful! The Nordstroms are of such caliber, holding a tender place in my heart...even from the MO days, but especially in those years to follow at CLC.
This is quite an undertaking, but God...that's all. But God. I'm sure you caught John's prayer for energy~
I see a picture of a kid putting on new shoes. They are a bit big, but the wise parent buys them that way in expectation and anticipation of growth. God does that in us...puts us in a place of expansion, enlarging our borders. He is enlarging our borders indeed.
I'm excited as we prepare to receive our newest family members this Sunday. I'm just excited about the whole thing with expectation of good things! And I sure am proud and thankful to call you Pastor.
Thanks, Carmen - you've got more history w/me & Chris than anyone else here, so your words are extra-encouraging.
I guess acceleration means go faster!
I hope others besides John are praying for more energy...
