off to D.C.
Twelve CLCers are off to Washington, D.C. this morning to participate in the Reconciliation! Ministries conference led by Bishop Joseph Garlington. I'm really looking forward to renewing and developing some great new friendships we've begun with our 'tribe' since we joined this network of churches earlier this year, not to mention the impartation we always receive from Bishop Garlington.
It will also be good to have some time with our pastoral team outside the office - somehow I think it helps our creativity and stokes our passion a little more to get away for meetings like this, breaking out of our normal routine.
I'll try to get online to blog from the conference, and for sure I'm looking forward to our return on Thursday and another SUMMER SPLASH with our friend, Pastor P.G. Vargis of India!

Wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed Saturday night's sermon. I love learning--especially when misinterpretation/misunderstanding is corrected as was the case for me. This caused some additional study and reading this week on my part--which is always good. I am excited about this summer series and look forward to the teaching.
Hope everyone is enjoying the conference and the time of rejuvenation.
Maureen
Thanks, Maureen - that's exactly what I was hoping for in this series. As we all dig in personally for more reading/study, we'll each receive the benefit. And I'm having a ball sharing it - but I'm guessing that shows!
